Good practice planning events - November 2008

Managing the internal assessment requirements of Diplomas is key to ensuring successful delivery of the Diploma. These planning events provide invaluable, practical support to consortia lead managers and assessors to help achieve this goal.

The first series of NAA good practice planning events in June generated a high level of positive feedback from the senior managers and assessors who attended. 82% of attendees found the events useful or very useful, and 96% said the events would influence the way they worked.

As a result, NAA will be holding an additional series of events in November for Gateway 1 consortia lead managers and assessors who were unable to attend in June. We would also be pleased to welcome additional senior managers and assessors from consortia who have already attended, should a consortium feel that other members of staff would benefit from the day.

The agenda for the day, delivered through a mixture of guidance, interactive and networking sessions, will cover:

• introducing 'Delivering the Diploma - a guide to managing internal assessment'
• suggestions for quality assuring internal assessment across a consortium
• case study discussions highlighting current good practice
• networking opportunities with colleagues in other consortia.

The events will be held in locations around the country on the following dates.
