Time available for June 2008 level 6 single level tests increased
18 April 2008
Following feedback from the December 2007 single level tests the NAA reviewed the time available for the tests at levels 5 and 6.
The pre-test for the June 2008 single level tests confirmed that:
- the time available for the tests at level 5 was appropriate and should remain at 50 minutes
- the time available for the level 6 tests was not appropriate and should be increased from 50 to 60 minutes.
More information on these changes and the impact on the administration of the tests will be available in the Test administrators' guide. The guide will be published on 'single level tests' pages of the website in late April 2008 and hardcopies will be delivered to schools with their test papers.
Further information on how the new time available for level 6 is divided between the different elements of the tests can be found on the 'single level tests' pages.
