Events
Administering the Diploma
These events are for exams officers in centres delivering the Diploma this year.
The free one day events will focus on:
- how to use the Diploma aggregation serivce, the online system which supports the award of the Diploma
- how to acquire uniqe learner numbers (ULN) for candidates, using the IT system called the Learner registration service
- some good practice advice on who should do what and when, both in each centre and across a Diploma consortium.
New IT systems will be demonstrated and delegates will be able to try them out. A pack of free resources will be provided, including a quick reference guide to using the Diploma aggregation service and an essential guide to administering the Diploma. The events will be of most value to delegates who are already familiar with the structure of the Diploma and the information provided at the NAA Getting ready for the Diploma events in spring 2008.

Getting ready for the Diploma: Preparation, agreement, action
The NAA's Getting ready for the Diploma events for exams officers and managers in centres delivering the Diploma in 2009 will take place in spring 2009. The events are designed to help consortia to prepare for the Diploma, to agree who will do what and to be ready for action.
The free one-day events are an invaluable opportunity for exams officers and managers to work through the policies and procedures that must be agreed before September 2009. Delegates will spend a large part of the day working through activities and frameworks that will form the basis of decisions about how to administer the Diploma locally.
More information about these events will be availalbe on this page in autumn 2008.
