Higher education modules
Higher education modules are university-level material provided by an increasing number of centres to learners already working at level 3 (equivalent of A level demand).
Key features:
- Offered from a wide range of university courses.
- May be taken alongside an A level or Diploma-based course of study.
- Achievement helpful in identifying university-level candidates.
What's happening and when
Increasingly available from centres with learners over 16.
Changes to look out for
- Exams office involvement in assessments as candidate numbers grow or the appointment of a higher education coordinator.
What you should do now
Review the likely nature of assessment with curriculum planners, and whether there may be a role for you or a dedicated higher education coordinator.
