A tool that enables exams officers to quickly and easily generate and customise a robust exam policy.

The exam policy generator tool takes the hard work out of creating an exam policy. It takes you through a series of questions covering typical exam policy scenarios and allows you to select from a range of answers. The tool then generates your customised exam policy as a Word document that you can edit further if needed.

We created specific versions of the policy for 11-16, 11-19 and further education centres so it will only include content relevant to your centre.

The end product is a robust policy, endorsed by the NAA, for you and your senior leadership team to sign up to.

Hints and tips

• Always enter an email address that will ensure safe and confidential receipt of your PIN.
• Skip sections with greyed-out text (unless there is a response required below the text). You can edit these sections once you download the finished document.
• Write concisely in the free text boxes - it will form part of a pre-set sentence in the policy document.
• Get feedback from the relevant people in your centre. You can always update the policy online or make amends to the finished Word document.
• The head of centre and the exams officer should sign and issue the policy to all interested parties.
• Post a copy on your centre's website.
