Exam cycle self-development tool



A planning tool to help exams officers monitor and improve basic exams office processes in their centre.

Based around the NAA Good practice guide, part 1, this tool allows you to assess your centre's progress in implementing good practice across the five stages of the exam cycle:

  • communications with candidates
  • entries
  • exam preparations
  • exam time
  • results.

Getting started

  • Save the tool to your hard drive and then open.
  • Read the detailed instructions on the first page or in the user guide.
  • To start working, click on any one of the tabs across the bottom of the page, titled Challenge 1, Challenge 2 etc. Where prompted, enter your answer to the good practice questions.
  • View your individual report in the Checklist summary tab or the Score chart tab. The reports are created automatically as you enter your answers to questions, and show how you are performing against each area of good practice.
