14-19 reforms
The aim of the 14-19 education and skills reforms is to make learning post-14 a more engaging experience for young people by giving them a wider choice of learning opportunities. One aim of the reforms is to increase participation in formal education at age 17 from 75 per cent to 90 per cent over a 10-year period.
